avoid mobile version of webpages

hi,
how can i prevent my tablet to load mobile version of homepages? Because they are generally useless but they are the default and I always have to switch to the normal ones.

Hi, I have (option 'request desktop site' ) and I installed Phony addon too. They sometimes work sometimes not, depend on the site. Unfortunatelly they don't work with Tomshardware.com, so i always have to bother with switch to the desktop version in every single step (so for example when i click on a link on the webpage, it loads the mobile version again, although i previously selected the desktop version on the main page.) So technically i cant use tomshardware on tablet. :-(
