backup delete for sony

i have sony sola (mt27i) smart phone
i recently backed up some of my files using the default app Backup And Restore
now i want to delete that backup file
searched for help on the sony official site but itz useless
they say to oppen the app and click the options(menu) button on the phone but it dosent work in the app
please help

Mine's a later Sony model:

Open Backup & Restore
Tap "Restore"
Tap menu (top-right on mine).
Tap "Manage Backup Records"
Tap the selection-box against the backup you wish to delete.
Tap the dustbin icon (at the bottom on mine).

go into your restore setting and don't click no backup i mean you don't choose backup and then reset your phone.
