Question Bad performance on Gaming laptop (LENOVO LEGION Y740)

Hi, i recently ordered a lenovo legion y740 and it arrived yesterday. Its the 17inch version with 32 gb ram and the rtx 2080. so the first issue that im noticing is that im getting really poor fps.

if you just got it it may be updating drivers and windows components. What games are you talking about and what frames are you seeing?

it could also be a temperature problem. Make sure it is updated and let us know what your temps and frames are.
