Hello,
Is this a great piece of electronics or should I pass on one for sale for $6o?

Not really that great performance wise, it's the fake teakwood cabinet that makes people buy it.

B&O used to be an innovator -- and have produced some beautiful looking stuff.

But (as above) they are more noted for clever controls and pretty boxes than for sonics perfection.

Just bear in mind that they are (still ?) strongly associated with Philips who aren't noted for their sentimentality towards brands' heritage so recent products may not be so great.

Also check if the unit you're considering uses DIN connectors rather than regular RCA/phono sockets -- DINs are a pain if everything else you own is phono plug.

check whathifi for some reviews on their speakers, its mostly five stars. dunno anything about there other products.
