Basic Programming Laptop - This any good?

Newegg's got a pretty cheap deal today on what appears to be a decent laptop. Here are general specs or can use the link above to view:

I can't find any reviews anywhere, though. Anybody familiar with this type of laptop and can give me some help?

I am looking for a budget programming laptop for school that has decent battery life. Don't need anything fancy, will not be used for gaming/graphics. Basically want:

  ■ something portable
  ■ decent processing power
  ■ good battery life
  ■ doesn't overheat

If I can get that for under $400 that would be great.

This laptop should work fine for programming, most of the time your just typing in text. I would recommend saving up a little money and putting an SSD into the laptop though, it really makes everything boot up a ton quicker so you can load up all the programs you use for coding in an instant.

What always amuses me is when people are doing development on really powerful machines , when all you need for web based programming and thats what most people do these days. Is to run text editor and Lamp/WAMP At 15.6 inch's and 5 pounds in weight i wouldn't call it portable but you really cant argue with that price .

I value the portability and dragging it to classes in my bag along with all my other stuff is very important to me it even has the chops to run photoshop and M$ visio studio for when i get my C on
