BDV-N790W 4K support?

I was looking to buy a 4K TV and I have the Sony BDV-N790W home theatre system.

Does anyone know if this home theatre system supports 4K video output?

No, I don't think so. 4k movies aren't even available on discs and that device doesn't have a HDMI input, so 4k support would be pretty useless for that particular device.

That is a 4k movie and even though your device only supports 1080p or lower like Eduello said 1080p is still great.

Right..ok. One more thing, if I buy a 4k tv and watch 1080p content on it, will it look worse than a native 1080p TV since for the 4K tv, 1080p is not its native res. Or will it be upscaled and look better?

It should be pretty much the same, since the scale of the resolution is the same; If you play 1080p content on a 4k TV, a 2x2 block of pixels will output one pixel from the 1080p video, so upscaling shouldn't mess it up.
