So I've went through a lot of headsets (ranging in prices) and my current ones are the Creative Sound Blaster 3D Recon Omega Wireless So anyways these things are pretty damn incredibly uncomfortable (worst I've had) so I'm looking for a new pair.

Most reviews all splur out the same shit, A50's, Kingston HyperX's etc etc

I'm no audio expert but i have been looking at Sennheiser's range which look to be good all round headsets, from gaming, listening to music and most importantly they look comfy (as playing for 8 hours straight with these things, well lets just say my ears were sore to touch)

Anyways, feel free to give some suggestions (wired/wireless) and I'm not a fan of external mics no matter ho much 'better' they are for the price ;)

Thanks!

Ok well I wouldn't say the HyperX Cloud II's are bad, they are a solid choice, but i'm not much of a fan of Astros. Well here is a list of the best headsets in your range and links to Amazon:

Sennheiser G4ME ONE (works best if you have a good sound card) - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-G4ME-ONE-Gaming-Headset-Black/dp/B00JQDOALC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1423623808&sr=8-3&keywords=sennheiser+headsets

Sennheiser PC 363D (works best if you don't have a good sound card since of its bult in 7.1 card) - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-PC363D-Surround-Over-Ear-Headset-Black/dp/B008O515CK/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1423623927&sr=8-6&keywords=sennheiser+pc

Creative EVO ZxR (11 euros more) - http://www.amazon.co.uk/electronics/dp/B00DILPB3Y/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1423624379&sr=8-14&keywords=creative+headsets

Creative Recon3D Omega Wireless - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Blaster-Recon3D-Wireless-Headset/dp/B00HG5B3QC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1423624120&sr=8-3&keywords=creative+headset+recon

Steelseries Siberia Elite Prism (13 euros more, but white version is 178 euros) - http://www.amazon.co.uk/SteelSeries-Siberia-Elite-Gaming-Headset-Jet-black/dp/B00PXEPF26/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1423624499&sr=8-4&keywords=steelseries+siberia+elite+prism

Steelseries H (its a great wireless headset, i'd prefer this over the Astro A50 any day) - http://www.amazon.co.uk/SteelSeries-Wireless-Headset-PC-CD/dp/B00FAN4LTI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1423624605&sr=8-1&keywords=steelseries+h

If your looking for the best quality you should go with headphones and a modmic, not a external desk mic. If your interested I can give you some recommendations.

Hope this helps!

I went with the 598's paired with the modmic 4.0 and i must say they are fantastic.

The only small con is that since they are open back obviously the noise cancellation is pretty minimal but that gives it less weight, wider soundstage and very comfortable. External noise to me is almost zero, but its handy to be able to hear if my phone goes, doorbell etc.

Some people complain about the bass of these but i think they are great, even when plugged directly into my 3.5mm jack there is 0 white noise (probably due to my Z97-G45 gaming motherboard) and sound fantastic

I currently have them plugged into the external sound card that came with my soundblasters merely because it gives them bit more oomf and more range so i can sit in my bed while i watch a movie etc.

The mic is also fantastic providing great quality, this mic can very sensetive but if you set up the levels correctly you'll be very pleased with the results.
