BEST 17 INCH gaming LAPTOP (OUT OF THESE) under $1500

hi I would like a 17inch gaming laptop
I think ASUS rog is for me and here are some things I would like
at least 8gb ram
at least 750GB hard drive upgradable to a ssd
at least a I7 core with 2.2GHZ
under $1500

hot enough . If your not using it on a hard surface you will definatly want a cooler however the cooler boost does a great job at keeping your system cool when using it on a desk. But unless your gaming expect nominal temperatures.

You will not get a higher quality machine than an ASUS in the ROG series. They run amazingly cool and are incredibly powerful. I own an ASUS G750JH myself.

I can say that you need to stay away from any of them like the G750VW. If you read what processor it has, it says it has an i7-3630QM. Since it says i7-3xxx, it's from the 3rd generation. You want one with the i7-4700HQ.

You also would do best getting one with the most current graphics card, which leads you to the ASUS G750JM. It has the Nvidia GTX 860M, which again, is GTX 8xx which signifies the 8th generation of processors, while there are 600 and 700 series cards also on that list.

Yes, you could get better performance out of MSI for the money with the MSI GT70 Dominator-895, but it won't have as high of build quality. It will, however, have a faster processor and graphics card.

No matter what you do, get a Samsung 840 Evo and a Good Cooling Pad. The SSD will greatly improve the performance of any of the machines and the cooling pad is good to have for long gaming sessions.
