Hi guys, I have a gaming desktop with a GTX 970 but will be needing a laptop for work and was wondering if you could recommend me on with a very decent price (700~) that can max out LoL/TF2/Play Overwatch adequately.

I'm not sure which graphics I'm looking for, 965m?

I'm looking for great battery life, lightweight and of course cheap!

Thanks again!

Solution
you may be able to find a laptop with a 965m for around 800$ if you look closely also do you want a i7 cpu because you do something that requires a lot of power or just simply you want to have more power to spare

Like I said in my OP, $700-800 for a light, thin, medium-tier GPU (960m~).

Was looking at:

This has a gtx 960m which as far as i know not being to great with laptop cards is about as fast as a 950
also the acer laptop you found was good but i would avoid dell but thats mostly becasue the pricing is really bad

ok yeah if there is a 965m in a 700-800$ range that would be good but if you game on your pc more then get that but looking more 965m gpus are in at least 850$-950$ laptops

My sandy bridge i5 laptop's wi-fo card's range has with time been reduced to garbage :(

But it has office and I will try to tether it with my iPhone via USB.

I will do this because like you guys have seen, only the 960m laptops are reasonable ($700!), 965m/970m are basically ONLY 900+.

I will do my best to wait for Polaris and Pascal laptops...hopefully they will be available soon!!

Thanks guys, good to know that there are decent $700 i7 laptops out there.
