I'm looking for a productivity device that can handle Photoshop CS3 (5 at best) or CC at most. If not, PowerPoint will suffice on a very very strict budget (student lol)

Here are the ones that they have that fit my budget (only until $160)
IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad X61
Dell Vostro A90
Dell D630
Dell E-5500
HP 2730P
HP 6715S

Which would be the best option? I notice that they're company devices too so they should be a tad bit sturdy. They all range from $126-$160 depending on the specs (particularly the RAM)

Another option would be to buy one of those Windows 8.1/10 devices but they really don't strike me the right way because of the small storage and inability to increase the RAM.

How about a tablet with a keyboard. If you get a cheap acer iconia tablet I think its called and you attach a bluetooth keyboard, it should serve your needs nicely.

Or look for a cheap lenovo x series.
For that low price you will struggle to find a laptop that can handle ps. You maybe able to find a cheap lenovo x series which should do the basics right.

If that'd be the case, I could live with not having to use Photoshop specifically. How about PowerPoint though?

I would stay away from cheap laptops and get a chromebook as they are more geared for your thing. The chrome os is more optimised than windows despite the lack of apps.

Sadly it isn't much of an option since Chromebooks are nowhere to be seen where I am (Philippines) although I've wanted one for its portability and low price.
