Best gaming Laptop for $1000?

Is the y50 the one to buy or should i choose something else? The main game i am gonna play on it is counter strike but would also like to play bf4 on low settings. This is the y50 i am interested in.

Before I make a suggestion, what are you using your laptop for? Does it sit on a desk with limited space, or do you move it around a lot?

its my laptop for school, i am a computer science major so i will get a lot of use out of it. i will probably be taking it to class every day.

For your use you should probably get the smaller and lighter Y40.
