Best gaming laptop that can be used for multi-purpose as well in 2016/2017

I'm looking to purchase a multi-purpose laptop for some gaming but mostly music production and video editing and DJing. I would prefer something that can handle anything I throw at it. I've been looking into the dell i7559 model but heard the screen is terrible? Also been looking at ASUS models like GL552 models. What do you guys recommend for a beast of a laptop in the $1000 range in U.S. Currency? I also been considering other brands like MSi, Acer, HP as well. Any suggestions grateful.
