So I'm going to be majoring in Computer Science next year and I need some recommendations for a good laptop. It HAS to run on Windows and it would be great if it can run games.
1. What is your budget?
Around $500 bucks (ideally). My absolute max would be $700.
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
Around a 15 inch screen. Something that's portable and not too heavy.
3. How much battery life do you need?
No less than 5 hours of battery life. More battery life would be great.
4. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
At an absolute minimum, it needs to run Counter Strike: Global Offensive on Medium. If it can run more high end games that would be better (if possible, examples of what it can run would be nice).
5. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Netflix, web browsing, coding, running basic programs like Microsoft word, etc.
6. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
500 GB + (ideally)
7. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
At least 4 years. It has to make it through college.
8. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
No personal preference, but I heard that Lenovo is really good.
9. What country do you live in?
The U.S.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I look forward to your responses
