No, the Samsung evo is an additional purchase. For the price, size, speed, and reviews it is the best ssd to get right now. Cheap as the cheap drives, yet performs like the expensive ones. I'd recommend a 256gb if you can $150, if not a 128gb $100 should work. Just remember windows take up a chunk. And still keep the regular large mechanical to store files/games/ect on, leave the ssd for windows and programs.
Both the msi and asus offer 2 hhd bays. So just stick the Samsung in the empty one, and clone your orginal hhd to the ssd then.
As for msi and asus. Both are great.
MSI - gives you more for the money, 15 and 17" options, and customizable keyboard.
Asus - still gives your great performance for the money, 17" option, better battery, superb cooling, better quality laptop and keyboard, less fan noise, less heat being pumped from the fans for that matter.
Both are great. I tried both, asus was best out of the two. Yes the msi gave better performance, but heat/fan noise became issue, and overall asus is just a better quality laptop, so personally chose a small performance hit for better laptop. But im not saying the asus cant perform, oh no, im just saying at $1400 asus gets you 860m but msi gets you 870m. For $1800 (route I went) asus gives 870m and 256gb ssd msi gives you 880m.
