best laptop for me

I am looking for a laptop, i was going to get a desktop but mobility is a huge thing for me since i'm in college and need it in my classes.
so i want to get a gaming laptop, ive been looking for one that is under 1500 preferably closer to 1000. ive been looking at the alienware 14 but im not sure. i rather get some others opinions and go from there.

I was in the same situation as you were a few weeks ago, maybe you should look at getting a nice little tablet with a keyboard, like a Windows Surface(its pretty nice), and shove the rest into a gaming desktop, plus gaming laptops can get very large, not something that would be fun to carry to classes.

see i have a tablet already but i would like to get a laptop too. in about a little over a year or so im most likely going to get a desktop too but i want a laptop that i can game with too. my friend has a satellite so i have been looking at toshiba cause he loves it. i found one with

are msi good? im not really familiar with that brand.

Alienware isn't advisable. It's highly overpriced and they aren't as high quality as they like to boast. My roomy's is a pile of crap.

You'd get the best mobility to performance ratio from the MSI GE60 Apache. It's a gaming laptop with a quad-core i7 and Nvidia GTX 860M graphics, but weighs only 5.2lbs and is pretty thin.
