The best camera combo I can come up with is the Canon 5D MkII with Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens or with Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 100mm f/2 ZE Lens. You can get two camera with two different lenses and swap between the two but try doing that in the field...


Why 5D Mk II? It can do video and Still at reasonable price. And with higher pix, you can make larger prints. It's hard to find a camera that can do the same this camera can do with the same specs at it's price range. You can also check the D7 or the D60 for Canon if you budget is limited. On Nikon Cameras, check the D300s and D700 with Nikkor Micro 105mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR (Vibration Reduction) Autofocus Lens.

But if you want something better, look for medium format cameras.
