Hey everyone,
I've been in the laptop market for some time now and I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on something with the following characteristics:
1. not an Apple product
2. 13.3" to 15.0" screen size
3. no number pad on the keyboard
4. Ethernet jack
5. HDMI output
6. good build quality
7. Macbook-like quality of the trackpad (accurate 1 finger performance w/ 2 finger scroll)
I just sold my spring-2008 15" Macbook Pro and I'm looking for a replacement. Coming from that Macbook, build quality and trackpad quality are a must for me. However, at the same time, I don't want to buy something unnecessarily expensive (HP Envy Spectre) since in 3 years I'll probably be looking for an upgrade, anyway.
What do you think I should buy if a good trackpad is a "must" for me? I'm not a gamer so i7 performance isn't really necessary for me. I could also probably get away with Integrated Graphics.
