Best program to use to open an 800MB image (.tif)

As the title says... any ideas?

Tried GIMP 2.4, its doing it now, taking ages and it's not progressing.

Help?

you just want to look at a picture,i thought that gimp was "nix" based systems, oh well for what ever it's worth, i use acdc for all my pics..
check out,, majorgeeks.com ,,they might have something that you will like/can use.:>)
