Then I read the article and quickly realized that I'll be spending a lot of my savings getting various uber geek items from them 😀

Agreed, at first I thought this was another BS counterfeiting scheme (printing vitual money to sell for real money) for this is pretty normal. Bethesday games kick ass. Though I wouldn't be caught dead wearing a video game t-shirt.
