Bios Update Looping

Hello.

So recently I bought a Hp g6 - 2253nr Laptop (running windows 8) and have download the following:
Google Chrome
Steam
Musicscore

Today I recieved the notification that the computer would restart in 1 hour to update applications on the computer so I basically clicked the "remind me in 1 hour" option.
After about 30 minutes I decided I was done for the day and selected the option restart and update in the settings of windows 8.
After the computer restarted, a Bios update appeared. The bios image was rewritten and verified and then I had 15 sec. to click "continue setup" Or it would do it automatically.

The laptop would then shut off, turn back on, and the process of updating the Bios would repeat again.

Can someone help me with a solution to this please? I need this for work next week and am starting to panic a little.

Unless some1 appears here with experience on the issue, take this case to the manufacturer's technical support if u haven't already, most likely you'll have to send the laptop back for a bios flashing

Yes. I plan on waiting for other opinions until sending it back, because that would definitely go over my time limit for a fix.

If your running the stock HP Windows 8, try holding down the keys windows + B after pressing power button, supposed to reflash bios from recovery partition on certain models.

Just tried the process you posted.
Nothing changed after holding the buttons after the power was turned on.
The laptop continued on into the Bios Updater.
^And the process loops once again.

before booting to windows, you can go to bios setup and restore the file to defaults, save change and exit.

You'll have to talk to HP, good luck, have a pot of coffee and valium on standby.
