Bios update on Toshiba Satellite C75D-A7286

The system became unstable on my Toshiba c75d-a7286 after a Windows 10 upgrade. I'm going to try to flash the bios as a last resort. The current version is 1.2, but there is a newer version 1.4 available. Which do I choose? The current of the new.

Use only the latest version that's available from Toshiba's website.

However, you may want to consider less risky options like reverting to the factory-installed Windows version if that's still possible, or investigate further the possible causes of the instability (ie are all the drivers correct/up to date?).

Testing HDD & RAM should also be considered.
