I don't run the same ROM long enough to catch this pointless malware. XD

Then again, it's a sign of where mobile devices are headed... In a few short years people will be compromising mobile devices implanted in victim's skulls and throwing pop-up ads into their eyeballs via LCD contact lenses. *shudders*

im pretty sure custom ROMs will be free of this cancer. Head to XDA and root that sh*t like bauss.

what is this "Carrier IQ" we are talking about, someone enlighten me please

i don't know what this is but i scanned my Rezhound with it and it does not have it, i guess it's a good thing, lol

Epic, the CarrierIQ software is not "caught", nor does it cause pop-ups, and no it is not missing in many of the roms (pretty much any Cyanogenmod rom will not have it, and most others that are not CM, MIUI, or AOSP based WILL have it.)

@nebun

it's the carriers way of charging you to make money for them.....

Nebun, search the past week or so on Tom's for the 2 or 3 other articles talking about it.

By CM7, do you mean Cinematic Mod 7 for Half-life. Uh, that doesn't run on Android. BTW, the latest version is CM11 RC.
