is this really useful? I can see it work well for small businesses etc, but large businesses will have proper servers in place, and the average household don't really need local P2P

Kinda cool, but it's hard to think of a scenario where this would really be useful. Why not just buy a NAS? Or you could use something like Dropbox.

It's useful for people who don't want to rely on or trust Dropbox or any of the cloud storage providers.
