Black screen when i start up.

For past month I'm experiencing a black screen whenever i start up my laptop i waited for few minutes but it would stay idle black. Then i just tried ctrl+alt+del well it directly starts up shows logos and it was fine.. But still I'm experiencing when i turn off and strart up again and i have to again press ctrl+alt+del to start which is really irritating. Pls a help will be appreciated.

Have you ran hdd tune as that should check if there is anything wrong with the hdd?
