Question Blank https redirects to "This site can't be reached"

Whenever I type in any website "website.com", it would redirect me to this broken link https://httpslink.com/ue. But then the second time I type it in and then it finally redirects to the actual site.

Why does this happen? Is this a virus? Malware? Or some browser extension that could cause this sort of problem?

Have you scanned this system for malware/viruses? If so, with what applications?

Does this happen with all browsers? Are you using any VPN services?

I have scanned my system with BitDefender and Malwarebytes (both full version products). Both results returned cleaned.

I haven't tried it on other browsers besides Chrome.

I'm having the same issue. Random attempted redirects to httpslink domains. Only happens in Chrome, doesn't seem to in other browsers. Malware scans came up clean. Nothing else obvious. Must be some sort of malware in Chrome -- haven't installed any new extensions or anything else recently and it doesn't seem to happen on other machines. Any info?

It was probably a redirect virus, but the website it redirected got shut down. check your startup page and extensions, if none works, try erasing browser cache and history. In the end, just reinstall chrome
