Solved! Blank screen

Solution
Does anything different happen when you have the battery removed and plugged into AC power?

Do you have any bootable CDs you can test?
If not you can make yourself a 'Live CD' rescue disk. UBCD4Win.com

what you told is not very informative.... if you want people to help you you have to tell the problem properly....now first can you access the bios? if yes then check the boot order or priority and see if your hard drive and dvd rom is recognized if it is then maybe the operating system is corrupted for this reinstall it using a bootable dvd or a cd... if you cannot access the bios (usually pressing del or f4 at powering up of the computer) then it maybe that the motherboard bios is corrupted...this could prevent the laptop from starting up as if it corrupt it wont know how to start what to start when to start and so on... if thats the case then you will have to send it in for repairs.... the next suspect could be virus....the cure again is to reinstall windows or linux or the os which you use... the last suspect could be that the laptop monitor is at fault... if the screen is blank with no color then it maybe or if a color does show up then the monitor is not at fault... the last resort is to send it in for repair/replacement....
