Hey i have been getting repetitive blue screens every time i open a game, not straight off, after a certain while, maybe 10-15 min in. Though when it is in windowed mode the time before the blue screen is longer.
I would like to know what causes it and what to do. Apparently reading the dump files and the reports on the program Who Crashed may give me an answer but i have no idea how to read those things.
If you need anymore details please tell me.
Thank you for the help

Are you getting the blue screen on a single game or on other games too?
Please provide the specs, OS and game\games name. Is anything written on the blue screen?

Hi so I have experiences this on 2 games so far DotA and HoN. I don't think it is specific to a game because i ran a stress test with 3DMark and i had a BsoD.
I have a MSI GT 60.
CPU : IntelCore i7-3610
VGA : Nvidia GeForce GTX 675M
Memory : 8.00 GB RAM (7.90 usable)
OS : Microsoft 7 Home Preminium
For what is written on the blue screen itself i do not know but i read that the program WhoCrashed recovers the dump files and analyses it for you.

This is what I got for the recent crashes

Now I have no idea what that means, apparently some people know how to read dump files to localize the issue ?

Either way I have more recently experienced another BsoD, about 1 hr ago, no games running maybe 1-2 programs and regular browsing, but my laptop was on my laps and maybe my sheets blocking the ventilation ( not sure). Now just before it BsoD on me the fan was running very quickly on warm/hot air was coming out, maybe it's because my laptop is overheating and it just shuts down when i run it on games ? But that never happened to me before I have had this computer for 2 years now and i did run games that made it heat up so much that I couldn't play it on my laps because it would burn me ( but i did that very rarely), so I doubt i made something melt inside from the heat and the last time I ran it that high was easily a year ago.
I have made windows updates, updated my graphic card, but i haven't and don't know how to update the BIOS. I am kind of scared doing it, since you can apparently screw it up easily, plus I don't know which update I should choose from the BIOS updates MSI website proposes, they have like 5-6 different GT 60...

I hope there are enough details for you to check up if anything can be done, just let me know if you need anything else.

Thank you again

I contacted Microsoft Tech Support and they said it was a Hardware issue and I would have to contact a local technician... Never buy a MSI computer.. I have had so many issues with them...

The issue came from my graphics card, which is damaged and that is the 3rd time that it has happened since I got my laptop (every time something different). Unfortunately this time it isn't under warranty anymore, so yeah thanks heaps MSI.... Thanks you for your help :)
