Bluescreen while gaming

Hey, ive been getting the same bluescreen error on my old laptop while gaming for awhile, unable to find a solution.

System Model Aspire 7750G
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
Intel® Core™ i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz, 2301 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
(RAM) 4,00 GB
500GB HDD
AMD Radeon HD 6800M Series

My screen goes black and then my pc restarts and shows this message:

In bluescreenviewer it points to atikmdag.sys as the issue as shown in this picture.

I have tried to uninstall my gfx driver with Display Driver Uninstaller and installed several different gfx drivers, but it keeps happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Error code: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000094 (3221225620) - {EXCEPTION} Integer division by zero.


could be data corruption, over heating, bad voltages.
I check all of the fans and make sure they are still spinning. Blow out any dust.
re install the GPU driver (including the GPU sound driver)


(overall, I would guess a overheating problem)
core speed of 2301 Mhz could indicate that you have some bios overclocking. you might update the bios or reset it to defaults and reconfigure. make sure you do not have overclocking software running.

2.3ghz is actually stock speed for that cpu. download gpu-z so we see yoour gpu clocks. Post picture of GPU-Z opened and put link here

2.301 GHz was the listed speed. it is the extra 1 MHz clock that can indicate strange bios/overclock settings.

Access to the actual memory dump file from c:\windows\minidump directory could help in figuring out the problem.

You are right johnbl, i just went reading trough it too fast. Every thread in laptop tech should have 1st thing to say before submit post that remove overclock / try hard reset before posting

or update the BIOS, so often there are undocumented changes to the BIOS that modify voltages, timings and clock rates.
