I have a set of never been used Bose 101 Music Monitor System Speakers. Can these be used with a desktop computer system?

Yes if you add an amplifier to drive them. No specs on them but figure 20 to 50 watts into 4-8 ohms is probably fine. A old stereo receiver or mini system with aux input will work. A small Lepai amp will work too.
