Bose Soundlink Mini connected to more speakers?

Hi there,

Do you know if it is possible to add more speakers to the Bose Soundlink Mini?
I would like to add more speakers to disperse the sound more evenly in a room... so I'm thinking maybe I can use an AUX Splitter and 3.5mm Audio cables, to connect 2 more speakers to it.

Has anyone does this, or knows if it would work? (Or knows another way of making it work).

This may not be what you like to hear.
But I'm not surprised that you are not satisfied with your Bose speakers. Which is why you are trying to modify your system to "disperse sound". You could add numerous bose speakers you will still be left with the feeling of you are missing something! Welcome to Bose!!

Here is a suggestion you wont regret for sure. Sell it or return it, and get a pair of bookshelves instead.
It is not the number of speakers that make a difference. Rather which speakers you are using and how it was designed. You cant change the laws of Physics. hence a small cubed speaker can only do so much! You paid for a brand name with average to decent music reproduction capabilities. When cheap material is used to build a speaker and make it look like a pretty cube, you end up with unsatisfied customers.

Do yourself a favour, don't throw away more money into it. One pair of really good bookshelves from a company that you probably never heard of, will do the trick.
Yes! One pair of bookshelves would be sufficient. Numbers don't matter. If you have the budget, then a pair of towers will blow away Bose to kingdom come.

Post a budget and I can come up with suggestions. If you are not happy you could even return some of these products.

I didn't suggest I wanted to add ANOTHER Bose speaker I just want to add whatever other speaker to it. Budget-wise, I dunno, I didn't set myself a budget, but I just wanted to make better use of this Bose Soundlink Mini rather than using it just for BBQs.

This is a small out of the box speaker + amp. Looks like it is battery powered.
Usually you cannot connect more speakers to such Boxed systems.

What do you mean by add another speaker??? To add speakers you need ports. This does not seem to have any.

Thought it makes sense but don't know if it will actually work. Also, I don't want to buy yet another Bose Soundlink, so I was rather hoping I can work with a similar setup but with a different speaker.

I know you need ports to add speakers, but the Bose Soundlink has an AUX input. It can take 3.5mm audio cables. I'm not a big audiophile, so in my mind, I think I can take one 3.5mm audio cable, and plug it in a splitter, from which, additional speakers can be added. No? Sorry, I'm really not very knowledgeable on audio, hence why I'm seeking this forum's help.

ahhh ok.
Search for a male to female 3.5 mm jack splitter. Is your jack 3.5 mm or 2.5mm?

Check if there is a drop in sound volume/quality when you introduce the jack and play from two devices at once. Usually passive splitters are not a great choice.

Since you are not a techie, not sure how much this would help.
When you split like this, you are connecting two loads in parallel. The device which is playing music will see a lower impedance load. There is a possibility that it could damage the device. Check with the manufacturer for the device that you are going to play music from.
