The green light is on...but the screen remains black. I was trying to connect to a public Wi-Fi spot when my IE and Firefox broswers froze. I tried restarting the computer several times, nothing happened. I then tried shutting it down...and nothing happened. I closed the top and then opened it again a few minutes later...again nada, no go. I bought it from a Microcenter in Westbury, NY...and I think it's under limited warranty, since I bought it two weeks ago (brand new). What do I do at this point? I run online business and I can't rely on library computers 24/7.
Take it back to Microcenter and see what they say. If you just bought it 2 weeks ago they should be able to at least tell you what is wrong with it at no charge. Most new computers have 1 year warranty from the manufacturer so if Microcenter says it is broken, you may have to make a claim with the manufacturer.
