Bravia no picture, backlight on. Tcon fault?

Sony bravia kdl50w 700b No picture.
Backlights work.
No audio from onboard speakers, external speakers via 2.5mm jack are fine.
Both appear to be on main board.
Does this indicate Tcon board fault?

Sony Bravia kdl50w, no picture.

Backlight works. Sound also doesnt come through the tv speakers, but works via external speakers connected in 2.5mm headphone jack.

Problem only started this morning after updating firmware last night.

headphone jack and internal speakers both appear to be connected to the tvs main board (BAX L).

Does this indicate a fault in the T Con board?

Ive had a close look at all 4 boards (TUS / tuner, Power, Main Board (BAX L) and the T con) but couldnt see anything obviously wrong...but im not an expert.

any help is greatly appreciated!
