Broke headphone jack off inside Sony Bravia tv

Forgot headphone was attached to tv and tripped over cord, breaking jack off in tv. Now internal speakers wont work.
If I open up tv, can I just cut wires coming from headphone port to get my internal speakers to work?

Hi
The normal way that these jacks are wired is that the output of the preamp goes to the headphone jack then from the switch contact of the jack to the power amp and then to the speakers.When you insert the jack plug you break the contact and cut the speakers off.
If you cut any of the wires you will permanently disable the speakers.
Have a look inside,if it is an open ended jack ie a hole at the opposite end to where you plug in you may be able to push the broken jack out in one direction or the other.
If this is not possible then you could solder jumper leads connecting pins on opposite sides of the jack this will enable the speakers to work.
