As the title says I'm looking for the best "bang-for-the-buck" in ear earbuds/earphones for gaming. I came across Sennheiser's cx 215 and cx 300 II and read some favorable reviews. My time is somewhat limited so I can't search for every single earbud known to man so I was hoping to get some suggestions here. My budget is between ~$30-$60ish and can be adjusted if a valid suggestion presents itself.

Well I already have Logitech g430's. In my situation I find it hard to hear people talking to me sometimes when it's over-the-ear so I'm just going to go with using earbuds that don't have noise cancellation for audio and the g430 for its mic since it's decent enough.

HD518 then, it's an open design so you can hear people just fine

I was actually hoping for something less clunky hence " earbuds", not "headphones". I appreciate the suggestion though. I might go for it if no one else responds. In the meantime though I'll keep this open.

if you're really looking for in-ears.. check out products by soundmagic as they have good sound for cheap. though they arent earbud style.

or look at this list http://www.head-fi.org/t/478568/multi-iem-review-348-iems-compared-popclik-evolo-added-11-10-15-p-1092

keep in mind that any in-ear except earbuds are sound isolating just like closed headphones. actual earbuds are not but can get quite uncomfortable for sustained periods of time due to being hard. the other in-ears can get a bit dirty so you need to keep them clean. open headphones like the 518 leak in and out so you can still hear what is going on around you while closed muffle sound.

whats the difference between in-ear styles? http://theheadphonelist.com/earphone-fit-guide/ read.

its completely your choice.. but if you want no noise isolation it would be between open over ear, open on ear and earbuds.
