Budget Laptop for 3DS MAX

I wouldn't call those budget laptops, and they are basically the same except for the SSD, more like mainstream gaming laptops. Gaming GPUs are certainly somewhat beneficial to 3DS Max use, but not as much in the rendering department, and the i7 won't hurt.

Should work for what you want it to do though.

Dell has a few offerings in their Precision series you might look at with low-end professional graphics cards. A lot of Autodesk products can take advantage of the drivers those work with.

Low resolution screen, i5 processor, didn't think they made one like that. Not sure I would compromise on that.

I have another M4800 with a 1920x1080 screen and an i7-4800MQ that was the base model a few years ago with a Quadro K620M. Something like 1500 dollars though.

Try this out: just add 4GB of memory.
