budget laptop for general use

I'm looking for a laptop for word processing, checking email, streaming netflix, etc... I'm not a gamer and I don't program. I'd like to spend no more than $450. Would you go with Dell, Acer, or Lenovo?

For cheap/good laptop you should watch over Toshiba as well

There are a lot of laptop that will suit your need with that budget.

The following is for 4 different models of a 15.6" Dell Inspiron laptop that ranges between $370 - $395. They have either a 4th generation or 5th generation Intel Core i3 CPU and either a touch screen or non-touch screen. The 5th generation Core i3 CPU is a little more powerful than the 4th gen Core i3 and it consumes slightly less power which translates to a longer battery life.
