1. What is your budget?
Around £500ish

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? Around 15 inches? I'm fairly flexible.

3. What screen resolution do you want?

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Portable-ish. It'll mainly be used at home so it's no big deal.

5. How much battery life do you need?
Again, mainly used at home so longer life is just a bonus.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
World of Warcraft, Sims 4 and Overwatch
Ideally at moderate settings each. I don't need anything fantastic and I'm alright with dipping to low if the performance will be decent.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
MAYBE a bit of Photoshop, but mainly just internet browsing as well as music streaming.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
Probably at least 500gb.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
N/A

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
For a fair few years hopefully.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
None are them are totally necessary.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
N/A

13. What country do you live in?
England

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
I DO already have a PC so this is as a supplement for days when I can't be at my desk. I've done some research and seen a fair few suggestions from various websites but I just can't for the life of me understand computer specs, no matter how hard I try.
The current laptop I have access to is a Toshiba Satellite C50-A-1CK which has had it's day, so I need a definite upgrade from this.
Any help is appreciated, thank you :)

Your budget is right bellow where you start to get into low end gaming systems. They really start at about 700, maybe an older closeout model with an older card for 600.

See what you have in your area with a 960M video card, that is a few years old but good enough to play games at lower settings. SIMS should run very well, WOW about medium.

Based on what I have seen in www.Amazon.co.uk, a ~£500 budget basically gets you a laptop with integrated Intel HD 620 graphics. A laptop with a 940mx GPU generally starts at around £600. At laptop with a GTX 960m generally starts at around £700
