Ill jump right in. My budget is around $1600 us dollars. I do not need a keyboard, mouse, or monitor. I do need an os. I really want to try to have in it the I7 4790k and the gtx 980. I want to future proof it as much as possible because I don't want to have to upgrade it for a while. If it doesn't make too much of a difference I could do with a little less than the 4790k and gtx 980 but hopefully not too much less. I only plan on using this computer for hardcore gaming and video editing/recording.

for those who didn't see this part I a;ready have the MONITOR, KEYBOARD, AND MOUSE. I DO NEED AN OS The who builds im looking at now are http://pcpartpicker.com/user/fandomgames/saved/77jRsY and http://pcpartpicker.com/user/fandomgames/saved/Y4WJ7P I do not plan on 4k gaming but the budget is a little bit of a stretch on the 1700 one

You should have no problem with your budget.
Post a prospective build and you will get many comments.
What are your possibilities that you will buy a 4k monitor or want to play triple monitor games.
Those options require serious graphics capability.

If there is a case you love, start with that. You will be looking at it for a long time.

I don't plan on using any mmail and rebates so it's not really going to work
