Okay out of necessity (I'm a poor 15 year old) I built my own tube amp for my record player. I have a preamp too (just not homemade). The amp has RCA outputs. Im in need of speakers for it now and I was wondering if I could purchase speaker cones and connect rca cables to them. Just solder the left RCA cable to what would be the left speaker and vice versa? Is it that simple? please let me know if this is possible. If not, could you direct me to another option that's cheap please? (I prefer diy as I learn more and can repair it if it hits the fan. and it's cheaper. and fun)

Thanks in advance
Jackson

Okay I understand what you're talking about now. I honestly didnt do as much research on speakers as I did on amps. Would I connect the the postive side of the amp to the positive terminal on the speaker and vice versa? (The amp is push pull if that makes a difference) If not, could you include a simple description of a setup that would work?
