I own dell inspiron n7110 laptop and recently I bought new cpu fan and a new battery for the laptop.
So i've opened the computer, replaced the old fan and then I replaced the old battery, turned on the laptop and apperantly something inside of it burned and caused smoke to ran out of the computer.

disassembled it again and saw that one of the cables running from the screen to the motherboard has been burned, "RO3 CAMERA" cable.

any ideas why it happened and what should I do now?

Solution
The new battery has nothing to do with the problem, something touched the connector J9 after you have assembled the laptop and caused the short-circuit.
Hi, disconnect the burnt cable from the motherboard, do you have a 8 pins connector for the cable? If you have 8 pins and it's the J9 connector start the laptop, does the laptop start?

I did and the laptop starts and works fine. It was the J9 connector that burnt, the connector on the motherboard is all burned and damaged, and also the cable. the 8pin connector is fine.

any ideas why it happened? maybe because of the new battery that i've installed?
