Buy 780m laptop or wait for 800 seires ?

Hi im customizing my laptop on pcspecialist which is clevo in US and I can get laptop with 780m and i7-4700mq with 8gb ram etc for 1000 and was wondering should i buy it or wait till the 800 series mainly 880m ?

by the time the 880m comes out, you'll have the option to wait for the 980m

the truth is there's always new tech coming 'just around the corner'. buy what's available now if you need it, other wise hold-on tight and wait it out

I was thinking of getting it now as the laptop from clevo has upgradable gpu so i can upgrade in future also 780m is same price as 8970 crossfire will the crossfire be better ?

the crossfire option will be better in terms of performance (significantly better)

however i'm not sure if that will be upgradable, and if it is I assume it would also cost more...

Still upgradable according to them but ye will cost alot of money and thanks for the advice vmem
