Hi,
I want to buy a laptop as a replacement for my PIII 900 desktop
computer.
I found the Vaio VGN-A 115B and 115S quite interesting (nice design,
memory-stick slot, DVD recorder etc.).
However, they use Banias CPU's and I have heard from a co-worker that
her 1.4 GHz Banias is quite slow when compiling large projects
compared to a P4M.
I'll mostly use my laptop for compiling and perhaps to play a game
from to time to time.
Is it worth waiting for Dothan computers if you don't want to pay more
than 1600 euro (are there going to be so cheap Dothans?)?
Is there a big performance boost at all?
Regards,
Marvin
