I was approved for $2,000 credit line through Dell and I want to get an alienware 17inch laptop.I really want to enjoy the 1440p QHD 120hz G-sync display gaming experience that everyone raves about with gtx 1080, i7 7820hk, and 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD.

Here is my issue; at $2,000 i've realized I cant afford all of those, so I would have to sacrifice 2 of them I believe.

The one I cannot go without is the QHD G-sync display.

However, after looking at the Dell's Outlet store I can now afford to buy the 17inch with the gtx 1080, i7 7820hk, and QHD display. Ive done some research on Dell Outlet and it seems to be pretty legit. Any one else have experience buying refurb alienware products from Dell Outlet? Is it low risk? Would it be safer to just stick to new laptops and live with a gtx 1070 and i7 7700hq?

A brand new product in outlet... Hmm....

Is it refurb or just stuck in an outlet? If it's a refurb, my refurbed Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 12 only came with some corner scratch and no other problem, so you may have good luck with just some minor exterior damage. Bad luck, you'll have problems all over the place. Most likely you'll get a scratch problem since your regular joe returns a product due to exterior problems.

yea they are selling refurbished models with the i7 7820hk but i just wanted to get opinions if i should rather bite the bullet and take i7 7700hq and gtx 1070 brand new or a fully loaded refurbished model.
