Question buying used cell phone on ebay - questions to ask seller?

These questions are for a moto g5s plus. Anything to add?

1) What is the imei number of the phone?

2) Have all hardware diagnostics passed by selecting the phones "device help" then selecting "hardware tests"?

3) Using the above diagnostics, what is the percentage of battery capacity remaining on the phone?

4} Any water damage?

5) Is the phone as advertised Factory Unlocked so that phone isn't attached to any cell phone service and can be used with any service that uses a SIM card

2. The phone, unless bought through and locked by a specific carrier, it normally comes unlocked. see the following page for info...

To be honest, while you can ask them all kinds of questions, this does not guaranty they will be honest in their answers or even know the answers (if selling a phone they got any way other than buying it new). There is always a risk when buying any device that way.

Asking for the imei number to see if phone was stolen?

I guess asking these questions would help if answers were not the same if I purchase phone and found differently. would have buyer protection through ebay?
