Hi!
Okay, so; quick pre-story:
- decide to do some PC maintenance
- free up 20 GB of space
- uninstalled Avast! since it constantly removed my CS:GO exe-file and rendered me unable to play the game
- check the internet for new antivirus, decide to try out BitDefender
- I install it - it's all in german (did I download a scam version?)
- See that my disk space has gone from 27 GB free to 20-ish GB free space
- regret everything, and uninstall asap
- C-disk keep losing free disk space without me doing anything
- Go to dinner party, come back to see my C-disk only have 1,42GB free space left
So, what's up with this? Do I have a virus? I'm currently scanning my system with Windows Defender and AVG. I also downloaded TreeSize to check what is taking up disk space.:
Notice the two top files, created today, taking up huge amounts of disk space.
How can I locate them? Is it safe to right click them in TreeSize and delete them? It says they are system files, but I doubt they are what they seem to be.
Can anyone give me any advice on how to get rid of them, if they are indeed the problem. And how to get my C-disk back.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thank you.
