Cable connector problem

I bought my mom a new tv but we just found out the cable tv cord will not be able to reach the tv. How can we make the cable cord longer so it will reach?

You can buy pre-made cables of different lengths (10', 25', 50') at most electronic stores, and you would also need a "coupler" (also known as an "F-81") to join two cables together with next to no loss.

The cable comes from outside up through the floor and it’s stuck beside a gas logs corner cabinet so we can’t put the tv there? How can I extend the cable cord? DUH!!!!!!

You can use a female to female F adapter

to connect another cable to the short one.
