Camera for beginner

Hey guys I'm a beginner in photography and would like a digital camera that can take pictures mostly of portraits. I would like it to take high resolution pics. It doesn't have to be the best but I would like it to have nice quality. If anyone could recommend me one that would be great.

Are you interested in learning proper photography? If so, Canon T6i with a 50mm lens is only about $700-800 and should be a great learning platform that excels in portraits.

I shoot portraits myself, and the best results come from an SLR with a 35mm, 50mm or 85mm lens.

What budget do you have and what currency? Are you prepared to buy second-hand?
