Can a y580 HDD be swapped to an SSD and how ?

i will be purchasing a new y580 this boxing week, not sure about the exact model just want to make sure it's a 1920x1080 res. screen, and i would really like to swap out the HDD for a SSd (around 256 gb)

my other question is how will i get all the stuff from the HDD to the new SSD, how will i physically get the SSD in there and can i then maybe use the HDD as an external, and what SSD would you guys reccomend ( i was leaning towards mushkin chronons, or deluxe? not sure about difference between the two, or a samsung 840?? . . . )
