Can an SSD drive be added?

I have an Asus GL551JW-DS71, specs can be seen here. Got it at Frys Electronics for $990.
I'm trying to find out if there's a slot available to add an SSD drive that I could use for the operating system and programs. The laptop came with Windows 8.1 and I just got the invite to upgrade to 10, so I'll be doing another OS install anyways- might as well upgrade now I figure. I called Asus and they think there's not a slot available but the guy I spoke to wasn't 100% sure- kinda shaky really, though he tried to be helpful. Anyways- does anyone know if I can add an SSD drive to this laptop?

You'll more than likely have to remove the HDD to put in a SSD.

Ask here https/rog.asus.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?60-ASUS-l-Republic-of-Gamers-Notebooks , but it think it only has 1 storage slot, but you can probably if you dont need it change optical drive for SSD, but i am not 100% all the laptops i had i could do that. but never had Asus ROG laptop

According to the following post, there is only a 2.5" drive bay for a HDD / SSD. There is no mSATA or M.2 port for an additional SSD.

there is a ssd port on the mobo (depending on how your facing the laptop) to the left or right of the ram youll see "SSD" but youll have to disassemble the laoptop to get to it..from what it looks like its either a M.2, 1.8 or .14 size
