Solved! can any phones power a usb hub?

Are any phones able to power a usb hub without a separate power supply? So that I could copy between flash drives etc?

Many phones support USB OTG. In that case you can just plug the USB drive into the cable and copy over anything you want onto the phone, then plug the second drive into the phone and copy it off the phone onto the second drive. You do need a phone with room to copy, and one that supports USB OTG.

Yes but that requires more time / messing about, and depends on you having sufficient storage on the phone. I thought with USB power delivery there may be more options to power devices (I know the battery will take a massive hit, but that's not the point). I even saw a guy powering a laptop (for a few minutes) with a phone.
